Currently, Dr Keiji Fukuda, the WHO's flu chief, warns about the potential dangers of the untested vaccine, as the US and Europe rush to implement mass vaccinations. Reports describe swine flu symptoms as being mild, and that relatively few people have been affected.

In 1976, a US government-directed mass vaccination program was initiated, despite the facts that there had not been a single confirmed swine flu case, the vaccines were un-tested and researchers indicated that they were not safe. Hundreds were permanently injured.

With effectiveness of flu vaccines questionable, in general, why have governments hastily targeted children, first responders, health care providers, and pregnant women?

There is a high probability that the vaccines will contain dangerous thimerosal (mercury) and the toxic additive squalene. Mercury in vaccines is responsible for a variety of neurological symptoms and squalene is implicated in auto-immune disorders, such as Gulf War Syndrome. Since 1976, strategically, BioShield II has been passed by the US government. This time vaccine manufacturers are exempt from all liability and cannot be sued for damages, nor is there, currently, any funded government compensation plan for damages from the flu shot. However, $ 8 billion dollars have been appropriated for vaccine manufacturers and the shelf-life for expired drugs like Tamiflu has just been extended.
